Come and join us for this amazing New Zealand event of the year for a traditional warm Maori welcome and day out in the English countryside, New Zealand Style!

Te Kohanga Reo O Ranana (London) proudly present Hangi Hui a Tau 2011. This is Te Kohanga Reo's main fundraising event of the year and all proceeds go towards the day to day running costs and smooth operation of our Maori Language School in London.

A traditional Maori Hangi complete with performances by Te Kohanga Reo tamariki (children), Maramara Totara, Beats of Polynesia, Ngati Ranana Kapahaka Group and other guest artists. There will be various New Zealand stalls selling Kiwi products, raffles, cake stalls, Watermelon and Pineapple stand, Kiwi Kidzone and much more.

We are especially priviledged to be working in collaboration with the National Trust on the restoration of the Hinemihi Marae, which for many kiwi tamariki born here in the UK will be their first experience of a Marae. Tekau - The Official History of Te Kohanga Reo!

Tekau, the official ten year anniversary magazine, was launched at Te Kohanga Reo o Ranana's annual hangi on Sunday the 24th of June, 2007. The weather may have been damp but the enthusiasm of the tamariki not to mention the lengths several hundred kiwis would go to for a decent feed were absolutely amazing!

If you would like to purchase copies of the magazine please contact Kohanga. Costs are £10 per magazine.
